SEATTLE, Wash. — Feelings of excitement and anticipation can be felt throughout the entire West Seattle community, as the Rhodies prepare for their inaugural season in the USL W League under the leadership of head coach Lyndsey Patterson.
Patterson, a former professional and current coach at Pacific Northwest Soccer Club and Seattle Reign FC, has worked tirelessly to build a squad that is strong enough to withstand the tests to come during their season in the NW Division of the Western Conference. “We are really looking forward to seeing these players compete this summer,” shared Patterson when asked about how her squad was shaping up ahead of their upcoming season. “They’re not only exciting players to watch, but they’re great human beings to look up to as well. We have our work cut out for us this season with the talent pool in the USL W League, but we feel confident about our roster, and we’re beyond excited to get started.”
With a solid mix of experience and youthful talent, the Rhodies will kick off their season at home on May 18th against fellow newcomers and cross-town rivals, Salmon Bay FC.

Key Players
Fans should start to get excited about Chloe Pattison, who will look to lead the way offensively for the Rhodies this season. Pattison, a forward from Eastern Washington University, was the 2024 Big Sky Conference Co-Offensive MVP and a Big Sky All-Conference First Team selection while leading the conference in goals with 11.
On the defensive side of things for the Rhodies, fans should keep their eyes peeled for goalkeeper Madi Munguia, who joins West Seattle from the University of Alabama. Munguia, who sat out her freshman year at Alabama after suffering an injury prior to the start of the year, was recently called up to the Mexican U20 National Team, and will look to bring that experience to West Seattle’s defense this season.
Another member of the “goalkeeper’s union” for the Rhodies during the 2025 season is Mia Hamant, who’s joining West Seattle from the University of Washington. The Corte Madera, California native posted seven clean sheets for the Huskies in 2024, and was named to the Big 10 All-Tournament Team.
Hamant will be joined by fellow Husky, Kolo Suliafu, who will be a defender for the Rhodies during their inaugural USL W League season. Suliafu was the backbone of the Huskies’ backline in 2024, starting all 21 matches while playing a team-high 1,928 minutes en route to her to the Second Team All-Big Ten and United Soccer Coaches All-North Region honors.
Finally, fans should be on the lookout for Hailey Still, a forward who joins West Seattle from the University of Portland. Still scored 7 goals in 19 appearances for the Pilots during the 2024-25 season, and will look to bring her experience and leadership to SW Thistle Street this season.
Must-See Matchups
The Rhodies will match up against cross-town rivals Salmon Bay FC twice this year, with both contests surely to be must-watch soccer. Other key games for West Seattle will be against Lane United, FC Olympia, and the Tacoma Galaxy, each of which have been established clubs for some time now.

The evening will be filled with celebrations around local soccer, while showcasing the next level of the women’s game in what will surely be a high-energy matchday experience.
Youth Soccer Celebration will be a perfect team bonding opportunity to bring players and families together. There will be opportunities for fans to play games with players from West Seattle Junction FC, as well as face painting and sign making with local cheerleaders ahead of kickoff. Additionally, the first clubs that sign up will be able to have their players take part in different matchday activities, such as walking out with the team, or serving as ball chasers.
This is an amazing opportunity to support local women’s soccer, while showing young players the pathways that are available to girls in the area.
